Jon Perkins (Independent Non-executive Director)

Jon joined the PMAL board on 12th November 2025. He is an experienced senior insurance executive and former Group Chief Actuary at Chaucer, bringing over 30 years of expertise in actuarial leadership, underwriting oversight, risk management and financial governance. As part of Chaucer’s management team he played a key        role in delivering Chaucer’s strong and stable profitability while delivering significant growth, including technical contributions to underwriting optimisation and capital efficiency. Prior to this he had pricing and consultancy roles in the market. Jon has extensive board and committee experience, including six years on Chaucer’s managing agency board and eight years on the Chaucer Pension Scheme Trustees Limited board. He has chaired key governance and technical committees and led major regulatory programmes such as the implementation of IFRS17. A Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, Jonathan brings deep London Market, Lloyd’s and regulatory expertise, alongside a collaborative, analytical approach to board‑level challenge and decision‑making.
